2018 Food Rescue Summit

This January, Feeding America hosted the third Food Rescue Summit. The event was a convening to foster collaboration and further drive impact with partners from all segments of the food industry dedicated to ensuring any safe, wholesome yet unsellable food is rescued to feed people before being considered for alternatives farther down the EPA food recovery hierarchy.

The two day agenda focused on aligning strategies for organizations to partner together, sharing and identifying best practices, discussion around better enabling the work of the food rescue community, and building ongoing plans focused on collaborative initiatives as well as multiple networking opportunities.

Here’s what our attendees said:

“The summit was GREAT! So glad I went! It really energized me around this work and I was able to make some great connections!”

“Thank you for a well run & informative conference. Looking forward to 2019”

“Overall the conference was extremely useful and I am glad I attended. I brought back many connections and ideas and am looking forward to attending again.”
